As a child, I remember reading most of the traditional Western (or European) fairy tales. Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, etc.
But my favorite fairy tale was non-Western. It was plucked from oriental folklore:

Cinderella and Snow White were two of many favorites.
I have a memory of going to the store with my mom and she bought a paperback book “Cinderella” for me. I remember both of Cinderella’s gowns. The first one was pink and the second one was blue. LOL.
