This morning when I woke up and looked at the clock (the clock shines the time on my ceiling) I said hummm, 3:23 am. That is not my exact wake up time, something is amiss. I quietly checked the house and everyone was breathing. I guess it is just a day where I needed a little extra time to compose myself. So I made myself a warm cup of hot chocolate, bundled up and went outside. It’s a very good time to see the stars. There were a few lights clouds and the stars were still bright. It was calm.
Then it occurred me, I think for the very first time. At least five days a week I see the sunrise. I am up and I walk out and see the sunrise. Sometimes I am doing a chore like taking out the garbage cans or check the animals. Sometimes I am just walking out, I guess out of habit. I look to see if it snowing, what creatures might be wandering in the yard, or getting something I have left in the truck.
It’s seems odd to me that I created such a ritual without any intention.

Good for you for embracing being awake so early. I love sunrises and the moon.
We have a few things in common then.
I don’t remember when I looked carefully at the moon…
But I remember waking up to an eerie moon one night … and it’s there clearly in my view !
Sounds kind of spooky to me!
Yes, it is!
Glad it happened that one and only time!
I see a huge moon but I regret for not carrying a phone with me I was not able to take a picture of it. Anyway, everyday I see the sunrise here
I think it is a fabulous way to start the day.
yes we always have a warm morning up to sunset
