My family loves my mashed potatoes. They would not touch them if they were in the kitchen and saw me make them. Funny how many people determine what tastes good based on their thoughts rather than their taste buds.
So what is so different about my mashed potatoes? Could be nothing. It could be that you make yours the same exact way.
I don’t boil the potatoes, I bake them. I add 1/2 cup riced cauliflower. I use a little milk and a little cream cheese when I mash them all together.
My family doesn’t eat cream cheese, baked potatoes or cauliflower. However they have mashed potatoes at least three times a week because they request it.

I prefer them baked, boiled or roast
We usually boil them, add butter and milk, then mash them. Sometimes we add cheddar cheese or chives or various other seasonings, but the basic potatoes are the same, regardless. We probably have mashed spuds 3-4 times a week, but for a while, we had them about 5-6 times a week. I’m trying to introduce more variety, like brown rice. Also, my daughter’s new diet from the doctor excludes potatoes in any form.
Riced cauliflower? And I love mashed potatoes, one of my favorite things to eat!
Mashed potatoes are not my thing! I prefer them baked, boiled or roast – or as chips of course, especially with fish!
Feeding our families healthy meals is crucial for their well-being. They do not need to know all of the ingredients until they are old enough to ask for the recipes! 🙂
