Every single branch of the star gooseberry tree is laden with fruit. What you see is just the tip of the iceberg.
The ground is strewn with the fruit but sadly there are no takers besides some squirrels and birds that come for them.
This fruit is sour but can be used to make pickle, jam and juice. There is just so much we need for our household and the rest gets to the compost pit.

Unfortunately, fruit trees require a lot of work here and the spring snow ruined some of them this year.
For me the problem is getting a demand for the fruits that grow in our garden.
I do not have a garden or grow fruits so really am not in a position to answer your question. I admire those that do grow their own fruits. I have no place to do it.
That is a great quality that you have being able to admire what grows in other people’s gardens.
