The presence of improvised vehicles in our country gives me an impression of the peoples’ creativity. A simple bicycle with an attached cab or sidecar can serve as a transportation for 2 to 4 people depending on the strength of the driver. It is like a rickshaw that the driver pedals in order to move with the passengers in the cab.
We call that rickshaw pedicab to mean it is a cab that is powered by the feet or the pedals. It provides employment especially inside the villages where people entering the gate has no penchant for walking dtstances. Riding a pedicab is slow but it is relaxing since it has no engine that emits air pollution and noise. Maybe that relaxing ride is what makes the pedicab popular.

That is really amazing. However, on the highways of the US or on busy city streets this would never work. The way people drive around here it would put those who ride in the sidecars in danger of having a car plow right into them.
Now, that is turning lemons into some lemonade.
