It is amazing the kind of items Ikebana uses to create state of the art arrangements. You just need to pick up anything that you see – a stone, a dead piece of wood, a broken plate, a dead flower, a porcelain shoe, a twig ……the works. Sticking a fresh flower can make a difference too
With a bit of imagination you can create something that could be a show stopper. But it is important that you also give meaning to the arrangements that you make and for this you can go through a course on the subject.
I bought a book on Ikebana and got great ideas from there. I tried to give a meaning to whatever I made but must admit it was far from what these experts create.

I have heard about this art and some of the things made are amazing. I have never tried to create anything myself.
I had an exhibition of flower arrangements and some of them were dried arrangements. I tried to give them the Ikebana look.
I have no talent for arranging flowers. Ikebana is beautiful.
You can just enjoy looking at them and know what they mean as well.
