I personally don’t care about them much. I think that the owls are cute though.
I do not understand its necessity, I never look at them, it’s not important to me.
Nice to have and give people an idea of their progress. I know I do all I can so I don’t often look at them but its a nice idea.

And I, like Carol, want first and foremost good communication. When I go to a profile, I have some idea of what she likes to post this site participant on the badges she owns.
I agree, I don’t look at badges to judge the person’s profile
Honestly, I would prefer communication over badges.
