I get the shudders when I think I spent a couple of hours at this unpredictable spot. We were taken to Taupo, the volcanic zone in North Island. The waiariki in Māori is found at various places but here it is intense The guide told us it can erupt anytime and that made me feel very uncomfortable.
We could feel the heat just standing there. There are hot pools where people go for swims something I will never venture to do.

The place looks beautiful but also dangerous. I haven’t swum in hot springs yet.

Well, I can’t swim so I have two reasons to not try hot springs. 😄
Same here. I did try and could only swim in the children’s pool (lol)
