Had this been in fashion when I was learning to stitch I would have got full marks. Instead I was sent out of class as I just could not stitch straight. It even has a name – handkerchief hem!!
Could it be that whoever started this trend could not stitch straight either but had already gained a name in fashions? When someone who is already famous gets away with murder as they say If this is not murder what is? (lol)
There are so many other weird fashions – torn jeans, holes in arms, the works.

I don’t have any dresses or skirts with this hem now but I did at one time. I really liked the look.
It is not so much about the looks but how they stitch that hem – quite a task.
I don’t look at fashion. I dress so that I feel good.
I do the same. I was just highlighting how what was once considered unacceptable has now become a fashion (lol)
