No Christmas decor is complete without the star up in our garden. We get such stars in stores here. A bulb is placed inside and hung as high as possible in the garden.
This is a night capture and I am pleased with the result. The star stands out among the greenery that has taken a back seat. This is truly a photographer’s delight.
The star normally stays up till January 6. Bringing it down is quite laborious but we engage someone to do that for us.
Putting up Christmas decorations is one activity I always look forward to.

Wonderful blue neon. Boy that just really stands out. Love it. I have been trying to think of a way to decorate my outside pine tree. Its about 25 feet tall. You just gave me a great alternative. Hang a star in it. I have no idea why I didnt think of that before. 🙂
Here everyone does it. Go for it Kim. Do they sell those stars out where you live?
That is a nice photo you shared! If we were in the city I would decorate more, but out here in the country nobody notices.
This is also a semi rural town and honestly I do it for my own enjoyment and I post photos at various social media sites. All my friends and family get to see the photos.
I would have to say my gardening is foremost for my own pleasure. I love working out in the yard! And here in the country it is quiet, birds singing, no traffic, and you are right there with nature.
The joy of country life is known to only those who have experienced it.
That is very, very true!
