Instead of taking vitamin pills, it has been my habit to drink fruit juice in the morning. Particularly the orange juice or pineapple juice, they are the best source of vitamin C that can help in increasing the immunity system of the body. Of course, the best fruit juice is the one coming from the fresh fruit. But it is not always available hence the fruit juice in cans and cartons are the most popular.
Milk is also important because it gives us calcium for the health of the bones and teeth. The morning drink therefore can be an alternate of fruit juice and milk.

My mother pounded it into my head, that drinking fruit juice is not as healthy as eating the whole fruit, so I rarely drink fruit juice, instead I eat the fruit.
I drink orange juice most days and take multi-vitamins and vitamin c pills too and also have milk in cereal.
My grandson once put orange juice on his cereal because they were out of milk. It sounded terrible to me! @hannihar
