Three more teams will look to join Manchester United in the English FA Cup semifinals after Manchester United defeated Norwich City 2-1 yesterday in extra time. These three quarterfinal matches will be played back-to-back-to-back. Here is the schedule for the triple header.
Arsenal at Sheffield United – 8 AM EST (ESPN).
Chelsea at Leicester City – 11 AM EST (ESPN+).
Newcastle at Manchester City – 1:30 PM EST (ESPN+).
The first quarterfinal game will be between Arsenal and Sheffield United. Who would have thought that Sheffield United would be ahead of Arsenal in the standings now? Although Arsenal has the more star players, Sheffield United has the necessary toughness to make this a pick-em game.
The second match is the best match of the day between 3rd place Leicester City and 4th place Chelsea. Both clubs have the capability to win this entire tournament.
The last match is between Newcastle and Manchester City. Newcastle has been playing better as of late, so they are peaking at the right time in order to face Manchester City, who will be looking to refocus after relinquishing the Premier League title to Liverpool on Thursday.
