So, also does every great leader have a loyal movement. It’s easy to assume that some people are just born leaders and others are not. It’s possible that this misguided notion is your biggest fear when you read titles like Expert Secrets. To understand what makes an expert and how easily an
“authentic expert” in any field is born. I would like to draw your attention to this article In 2008, by Kevin Kelly who wrote a post called “1,000 True Fans”. In it, he said: “A creator, such as an artist, musician, photographer, craftsperson, performer, animator, designer, videomaker, or author—in other words, anyone producing works of art—needs to acquire only 1,000 True Fans to make a living. A True Fan is defined as someone who will purchase anything and everything you produce. They will drive 200 miles to see you sing. They will buy the super deluxe re-issued hi-res box set of your stuff even though they have the low-res version. They have a Google Alert set for your name. They bookmark the eBay page where your out-of-print editions show up. They come to your openings. They have you sign their copies. They buy the t-shirt, and the mug, and the hat. They can’t wait till you issue your next work. They are true fans.”
So, what makes you the go-to person, the expert in your field? Your fans do, right? And what sets you apart from your fans? Well, it’s that little twist or secret sauce or spin to what was something ordinary, and in applying any or even all of these things, just those two or three-step more than your fans have has set you up as the authentic expert.
Think this is fake? Do the math, or use your own brand of logic and ask yourself, why are you a “rabid” follower of whoever and you will see the “light.” Finally, that one thing you do, which people go ga-ga over, you know the one, the one you so modestly brush aside, saying: “Oh, that, it’s nothing special, really.” Yeah, nothing special yet it has you sitting right up there in the first place! Nothing? Don’t ever call your fans stupid! Your denial and apparent indifference are demeaning to them. Draw your talent closer, embrace it by making it more valuable to and shareable with people who already admire you for it.

I would never say I am an expert. But I try to help others.
I’m not sure you got the gist of my post, Carol. Let me explain, I’m an expert on the internal layout of my apartment. I am even more of an expert than my wife since I have been here while she had visited our kids, simply because she hasn’t been here as long as I, (every day).
She, on the other hand, is more of an expert on the layout of my daughter’s house, since she’s been there 3 times while I minded our pets at home, it has nothing to do with right or wrong or good or bad. No one has been Virily’s number 1writer, for whatever reason or reasons. I’ll tell you, if I want to know how to get there, there is only one expert I will ask about how to get there, you. That is what my article is about, Carol.
We are all experts at something, I’m an expert at quite a few things simply because I am the one they ask when they need to know, what I know. It is not always about being humble, which you are, (No doubt about that) sometimes It’s about a certain skill set, and for Virily’s top position, you have it. So too does Ghostwriter and in fact, everyone else above me, unless/until I pass them, no sentiment, just skill.
I understand. I have many people and friends that ask my advice since I have lost a child. Many tell me that after talking to me, they were able to talk their children out of taking their life. I suppose that could be called an expert. I call it my life’s purpose of being here.
Thank you!!! You did get what I mean. And whether you call your being here, your life’s purpose or not, only you have some idea of how you cope with your unimaginable grief or in the case of being here in the top position, only a fool would ask anyone else about how to get to where you are.
I’m just sharing some amazing information I read, where this certain Expert, Russell Brunson got to where he is, a multi-millionaire, who really started with zero. He has trained 100,000 people how to use whatever they did well in life, to make a good living from it, you see, he doesn’t have to know anything about anyone’s specialty, he just knows how to use what they have, to make money from it. Millions of folks are sitting there thinking a leader has to be born and so they won’t ever amount to anything, that’s just wrong!
We just have to find what we, as an individual, are good at and what brings us and others joy and happiness.
