There are two different types of Holly plants, the evergreen types, and the deciduous types (the ones that lose their leaves in winter).
Most of the Holly plants have separate male plants and female plants, and only the female plants will produce the berries.
The berries are very showy, and on most of the varieties produce red fruits, but some are blue, black, yellow, or white.
The attached photo is of my evergreen hollies and the red berries. The birds enjoy the berries. Evergreen is so nice in the garden. Always green somewhere year round.

Thanks Doc. I love the evergreen foliage on any plant. No maintenance is a bonus.
evergreen is so cool i love the trees.
in the winter, when we walk, i love the section of the walk that is near the evergreen trees at the edge of our neighborhood, the smell is amazing.
I know what you mean. I need to get out today and take in the fresh air.
until the afternoon rains come, our air isn’t going to be fresh
They are really lovely looking berries and I am glad the birds can enjoy them.
Thanks, I love the green and red contrast in the garden.
I guess these strawberries are a real treat for the birds.
They enjoy these berries year round.
