As a general rule, I really don’t like spiders. I wouldn’t call it a phobia, and I avoid them as much as I can. I thought it was interesting when I learned about triangle weaver spiders I was at least interested in what made them so different.
They are a pretty normal looking spider, but they make a very different kind of web. It is something I would call locked and loaded. Their webs are tension loaded like a cross bow. It pulls tight and then flings the spider at the prey going faster than a rocket!
Now if my brother and husband had told me this, I would have called it a very tall tale. I found the source to be reliable.
I am not interested in a spider that can be catapulted right into me. I still find it interesting to learn about.

I thought spider webs act only as a net to capture prey. Never knew the web can serve as a launch pad for the spider to strike. Great share Ghostwriter. ?
I was surprised as well. the good news is we are never too old to learn.
? Yes. Learning never stops.
In principle, I have nothing against spiders … they say that a crab brings happiness and you can not kill him
I am certain they have a purpose and I should appreciate them, but I am not there yet.
I grew up wandering the woods of Southern Indiana and came to love the amazing ability of spiders to get rid of bugs!
We didn’t when I was a kid, have the luxury of bug spray!!
My mom didn’t believe in bug spray, she made us take vitamin E.
