Dinkel’s Bakery, one of Chicago’s most popular bakeries, is located at 3327 North Lincoln Avenue, Chicago, Illinois (Lake View neighborhood). The bakery opened in 1922.
The photo was taken with a Nikon Coolpix P7700 camera. Editing was done using Luminar Flex 1.1.
Using the RAW Develop filter I made a slight adjustment to the color temperature and lowered the exposure a bit. Then I increased the contrast, shadows, whites and clarity and lowered the highlights and blacks. Next I added the Accent AI and AI Sky Enhancer filters and used the Tone filter to lower the SmartTone. Then I added the Polarizing and Dehaze filters and used the Saturation / Vibrance filter to increase the vibrance.

The smell alone will draw you in. As you come around the corner you smell the fresh baked goods!
It’s not particularly near my home but the couple of times I’ve been there, the place has been crowded.
I had a friend when I was working in Downtown Chicago that lived in Old Town. I was usually at the Courtyard Hotel just off Michigan Avenue.
We would meet for well bear claws and coffee! It was worth it!
Baking at home is best and to buy , Bakery should have good reputation
Bakeries are good for something unusual or fancy.
Amazing photo looks like I could just step into the bakery. Long ago when I was a little girl back in Brooklyn, NY our neighborhood had a bakery called Ebingers it became so popular that every time you walked into the little store you had to stand in a long line waiting for your turn and in the meantime all those goodies were in front of your eyes and there was the scent of freshly baked bread.
This is one of those places.
I love to bake but I also love to buy baked goods from certain places. This photo is absolutely stunning. It is like I am there! Awesome job Gary.
The bakers in our family are one of my daughters and the other daughter’s husband.
