In the main avenues the pedestrian lane is not used anymore because the government had constructed the footbridge so the pedestrians can cross the avenue anytime. But the footbridge is high and the pedestrian should have the capability to climb the long stairs. That is one reason why seniors are advised not to use the footbridge.
Maybe the pedestrian lane is here to stay because of the issue of the seniors, the PWD (persons with disability) and that includes the pregnant women. Those government officials who care had installed the pedestrian lane for them regardless if there is already a constructed footbridge.
