COVID-19 : Rice ATM machines

The whole world is in lock down to protect against the Corona virus, causing the poor and vulnerable to worry about basic food items. In this situation Vietnam come up with unique solution and set up Rice ATM machines to help such needy people.

So far only 265 cases of Corona virus have been reported in Vietnam and no a single death case has been reported, but the Vietnamese government has closed small markets, businesses and public places to prevent the spread of the virus.

However, due to the lock down, there is also concern for poor food and drink, which is why donors have installed rice ATM machines in the Vietnamese capital Hanoi. Bags can be filled with rice machines from 8am to 5pm, which requires that all people stand 6 feet apart and their hands are sanitized.

Such ATM machines are being installed in other parts of the country beside capital.
