The spirit of the English province at the beginning of the 20th century gave impetus to the emergence of a country style. With a pinch of simplicity and everydayness, this style mimics the classic interior almost perfectly. It is a blend of comfort, coziness, romance, practicality, and natural materials, often handmade.
The country-style features non-standard, fairly massive, upholstered sofas, armchairs, rugs, carpets, wicker furniture, blacksmith works, woodwork, still lifes and animal paintings, floral arrangements, etc. Colors are predominantly blurry, with many shades of brown, gray, blue, green, red brick, and white.
Such interior is often applied to homesteads, in rural areas.
Country style interior in the homestead captivates with its simplicity and seemingly timeless spirit. Furniture made of natural wood, not necessarily fully finished and usually of natural wood color, as if fitting into the wooden walls of the homestead. If the homestead was built several centuries ago, the stone details can blend into the whole interior in a very original way. Stone and wood in the country style are great friends.
