This is near the Nikau Palm in Arataki Visitor Centre in the Waitakere Ranges in Auckland there is a Ponga fern as well. New Zealand bush has a very wide range of greens and this is one type.
Greenery is restful but plants and forrests badly need watering. There has been almost a 3 month drought in Auckland, New Zealand and it seems to be a regular feature here.
In the centre of the photo you will notice the stem of the Nikau Palm and some beads coming out of a darker shade.

It’s almost raining here. But with the start of 2020, something went wrong. It has been raining without stopping since Saturday. Very interesting kind of palm tree.
