I made my favourite caramelized bread pudding yesterday but could not upload that photo in my computer as my memory card reader let me down. It looked more or less the same as what you see in the photo.
My bread pudding had 2 eggs, 3 slices of bread, 4 tablespoons of sugar, a rich helping of raisins, cashew nuts and sun dried apricots. I also sprinkled mace for that great aroma. We have nutmegs growing in our garden. I steamed the pudding and the results were out of this world if I have to say so myself.
I do not make a paste of the bread but make pieces of it and place them layer by layer.
