Butterflies historic returns to Lebanon after a century

Butterflies returns to Lebanon after a century after recent rain and after extraordinary floral growth in Lebanon, these butterflies were migrated from Lebanon and last seen in 1917.

Professor of Nutritious genetics, at St. Joseph’s University of Lebanon told, These butterflies are called painted ladies. The gray brown color is highlighted on the right side of the butterfly wings, which have black and white spots.

These butterflies were last seen in 1917, but these butterflies can now be seen in Lebanon’s gardens, vegetable, fields, and villages. According to experts it’s a historic moment. The duration of each butterfly is only 25 days and now they will spend full spring in Lebanon. One more specialty of these Painted Lady Butterflies, they fixes 12 thousand kilometers per year.
