Bundesliga poll ~ 6/16/20

The Bundesliga is back after a quick turnaround this weekend with matches today and tomorrow.  Here is the schedule for today.

VfL Wolfsburg at Borussia Monchengladbach – 12:30 PM EST (FS2).

Bayern Munich at Werder Bremen – 2:30 PM EST (FS2).

Hertha Berlin at SC Freiburg – 2:30 PM EST.

Paderborn at Union Berlin – 2:30 PM EST.

The marquee match-up is the first match between 6th place Wolfsburg visiting 5th place Borussia Monchengladbach.  Monchengladbach needs a win to jump back into 4th place, while Wolfsburg will need points to maintain their standing for the last European slot for next season.

Werder Bremen can almost see the light at the end of the tunnel in escaping the relegation zone, but they have Bayern Munich visiting them today.  With a win, Bayern will clinch its eighth straight Bundesliga title.

Freiburg sits four points behind Wolfsburg, so a win at home would be necessary if they want to move closer to sixth place.  Hertha Berlin could jump from 11th to 9th with a victory today.

Paderborn will be relegated so they will be playing for pride on the road against Union Berlin.  A win for Union Berlin guarantees that they will not be relegated even though the experts picked them to end up in last place before this season started.
