Those with a sweet tooth – I am one of them – will relish these boondi ladoos. Although they are easy to make what we get in stores is equally tasty.
The main ingredient is gram flour. A thick batter is prepared with a touch of salt. It is then passed through a sieve or collander and deep fried. You will see tiny balls of deep frien gram flour. A sugar syrup is prepared and these balls dipped in the syrup. Balls are then made as seen in the photo Some stick a raisin or two and some prefer cashew nuts. Cardamom powder is added to the sugar syrup It is necessary before rolling into balls ghee is applied on the hands.

Not many cashew nuts are used – just one or two.

I wonder whether ladoos in any form are speciallity of India.
These look delicious, and yes I have a sweet tooth. I do try to not eat sweets often, except on special occasions. I may fix them one day in the future.
