The bluebirds have arrived to the backyard. They are still checking out the house to see if it suits them. Still chasing the sparrows (ratbirds) away. They keep trying to build and this will cause the bluebirds to leave.
Every year it is a struggle with the sparrows. But I clean out the rat nest every day and wait for the bluebirds to decide to start building. It will be any day now. In the meantime I snapped this photo of a bluebird in the tulip poplar tree. They will eventually build in the house.
The bluebirds are my Bluebirds of Happiness. I always look forward to seeing them each year.
