Fortunately, the NFL Draft is on this weekend or all of us sports fans would be stuck with the Belarus Premier League this weekend. Nevertheless, the games go on in Belarus with Week 6 matches this weekend. Week 6 begins today with a doubleheader.
The first match will be Smolevichy-STI (FK Vigvam Smolevichy) hosting FC Dinamo Minsk. Both teams have gone through horrible startes with Minsk in 12th place and Smolevichy in 15th place in the 16-team Belarus Premier League. Smolevichy has not won a game yet, while Dinamo Minsk has not been held to a draw this season. Something must give in this match. Will Smolevichy procure a victory or will Minsk decide to be lukewarm and look for the draw on the road?
The second match will be FC Neman Grodno at home against Energetyk-BGU (FC Zvezda-BGU Minsk). Energetyk currently sits in 5th place, but can temporarily move into first place with a win. Neman Grodno is in 14th place, but can move all the way up into 7th place with a victory. Which team will be focused on moving up the standings?
