Banana for instant energy

When I was playing football during my grade school days, I remember that there is always a banana beside the water jug. But I never ate one when I was playing and water was my priority. For a boy like me, I didn’t know that the banana was for instant energy that athletes would need. But now I can see that professional tennis players have that bite from the banana during breaks. That is one proof that the banana gives them the energy.

Potassium is the most popular nutrient of the banana. When people are weak, they are prescribed to eat one banana that would give them the strength. I thought it was just a myth because the banana was not really popular among our local athletes. But maybe the ubiquitous banana in the tennis court will give it a better image.
