Baked snacks for health

Bread, pastries and other baked treats are good for the health, according to one dietitian. Baked snacks are easy to digest and not filling. That means you do not gain weight unless you eat so much that is excessive than the standard amount. In our culture, baked goodies were the usual afternoon snacks in competition with the native snacks that are usually made of glutinous rice or root crops like taro and yam.

The baked goodies then represents the modern era that are from the Americans. But now there seems to be no  more standard snacks that it is a merry mix of culinary treats, from the sandwiches, pizza, pasta and the baked treats not to mention our native snacks. Take your pick for your snack but if you prefer a healthy snack then it should be the baked treats.
