In this picture you can see one of my cats. She is feral. Now she is 5 years old. She can’t live inside. She has the freedom she needs. She does whatever she wants. Her mother was a feral cat who lived outdoors for more than 10 years.
I have an indoor cat, but I wonder if he is happy. He doesn’t have freedom. He never goes outside because he is terrified. He is so used to living indoors.
Cats who live outdoors don’t have a long life, but at least they have freedom. Are cats happy indoor?

If they are feral, or used to be for a long time, I think they’re likely to prefer the outdoor life, fair enough. Cats are creatures of habit, aren’t they? ?
If you’re able to provide a fun environment where cats feel constantly stimulated, living indoors can probably make them as happy. And birds and lizards will thank us!
I think cats love to be outside. I saw a few cats looking at the window.
For sure cats are happy indoor but they still have that natural feeling of freedom.
My cats live indoors, they are safer and are happy.
Good to see your posts being published.
I believe that cats love to have their food, bed, cuddles but they will always have the instict of hunting and exploring 🙂
