We took the Amtrak train from San Jose with our destination to Oxnard. The train however stopped at Santa Barbara and we had to take the rest of the journey by bus.
The journey between San Jose – Santa Barbara was a straight line along the coast with the sea as company. a rare experience which I wanted to have after my boss who got a transfer to the US had mentioned to me about this route.
It was a double storied train with all facilities. There was a train attendant who waited on us hand and foot – almost flirting!! (lol)

A beautiful and special train. I haven’t heard of a double-decker train yet.
They must be common specially Amtrak.
Trains can be fun to ride with lots to see along the way.
I have done a lot of train travel in different settings.
