This morning I was happy to see the buds in some of my amaryllis and the white one in bloom. I wait impatiently for these plants to bloom every year. It just tells me that spring has sprung, although it feels like mid summer right now. My special amaryllis is the Mrs Garfield the pink with white and darker pink lines.
Sadly none of my day lilies have come back this year. I wonder what happened. I hope my amaryllis Mrs Garfield will put on a great show as it did last year. I had a lot of people requesting me for bulbs last year.
The red and orange amaryllis are pretty common here . However, multi-layered red is a crowd puller. These flowers are easy to care for, just pot the bulbs in summer and at the end of winter feed the plants. You can enjoy lovely bunches of flowers then forget about them until next winter. How easy is that?

No blossoms here yet. I have the red ones. I used to have more colors but not at this house. I need to regroup!
I have amaryllis in red. Unfortunately, it has already blossomed.
