reached some of the trees along the pond. My son has been pulling some great catfish out of here. There is one though, the granddaddy catfish he has been trying to get. His mouth is a good 12 inches wide. There are channel cats, blues, flatheads and a lot of perch in this pond. Cal Fire actually used water from this pond for fire drops which put out the fire pretty quickly, just a few acres were burned.
I’ve watched the helicopters fill their buckets in the Atascadero Lake when we had a fire here. It’s interesting to watch. Lovely shot!
Yes it is. I have watched them as well. And watching them drop fire retardant is also cool to watch. The orange just coats everything.
This photo is very impressive, as well as the water’s dedication to extinguish the fire.
We have many small lakes and ponds around that the use for fire drops. Thank you, glad you liked the photo. : )

Beautiful photo in green and reflections. I hope there is plenty of fish
Tons of fish in this pond, no one fishes it, and havent for quite some time now.
Oh man I used to go fishing with Dustin, he would always catch more than me. Great memory and to spite these burned trees, there are many coming back.
Cherished times Carol.
