Wonderful story, Doc, I’m just not sure if you meant, that your other half was funding your trip, (teacher’salaries being what they are) or was it a typo? Her parents and her paid for the whole trip. Long story
We met and were engaged in two weeks, the marriage took 8 months because of planning!
Oh, well, great then, I was also the humble recipient of lucre, being on a rookie cop’s pay, also a long story for another day. Like yours, My mom-in-law was an absolute lady whom I thoroughly adored to her dying day, God bless them both.
i watch all the tv shows with the horrible stories of mothers-in-law and I never understood.

I am sure she was. I miss so many that have been lost. Good times are what I try to keep above anything else.
