Another species of pigeon, quite common in Europe. They are slightly bigger than the common ‘rock’ cousins, and tend to build their nests on trees.

Here you'll find all collections you've created before.
We have these. I love how they sound. Great shots.
I went to hear how they sound. ? Yes, it’s nice. I thought it was another sound collared doves made, I’m glad to know it’s the wood pigeon instead.
That is really interesting, are they the size if a stock pot? We have a New Zealand Wood Pigeon or Kereru. It looks like that but it is different colouring. I will put on another post and perhaps you can compare.
While searching for info about the common wood pigeon, I also saw the Kereru. ? I think the New Zealand pigeon is slightly bigger.
I didn’t see them in our city, but met one in countryside.
They need trees, they might be hiding somewhere in a park. ??
May be, I’ll try to find them 🙂 But as I know they are quite common in european cities, but not here, in Russia…
I see, perhaps it’s too cold in Russia. ?
Maybe, or some other reasons…
