A normal, healthy baby is born with 350 bones in their bodies. A normal, healthy adult has 206 bones. A human doesn’t lose bones through growth, but many bones end up fusing together. Medical science doesn’t know what triggers some bones to fuse together, but not others.
Fascinating and with so many bones that is why people have trouble keeping from breaking them. I am lucky I have had only one fracture in the elbow in all of my days.
I’ve broken a toe twice and a finger once. That is it, except for cracked ribs.
Yes I Know about This!!!
During growth, babies actually grow an additional bone, too; the kneecap
Science does not always have all the answers.
You are totally right about that.
