      • Yes, a dyeing technique in a certain way. This is just a reference;

        Batik is a pictorial cloth specifically made by writing or putting on a malam (liquid wax) on a cloth, then processing it in a certain way or commonly known as batik cloth, or an art and how to decorate a cloth with a candle/liquid wax cover to form a decorative pattern, forming a field coloring, while the color itself is dyed using ordinary dyes after the wax dry.

        Based on the etymology and terminology, the term batik comes from the Javanese language which is a series of the words “mbat” which means “ngembat” or throw many times and “tik” which means point. So, batik means throwing multiple points on the fabric. There are also those who say that the word batik comes from the word “amba” which means cloth that is wide and the word dot (tik). This means that batik is the points drawn on a wide cloth media such that it produces various certain patterns.
