The darker background has better shadows I think.
It does, but I lost some of the richness of color in the shadows

Fix one thing and break another
I like the lighter shadow better. Both are very cool. Love your signature.
The background looks nicer but at the expense of the shadows. The other version has better shadows but a washed out background…
