Ulun Danu Beratan Temple

If you go to the highlands of the mountainous at Bedugul located in the centre-north region of Bali, you can also visit beautiful Balinese Hindu temple on Bratan lake. The temple complex is located on the shores of the lake in the mountains near Bedugul and dedicated to The Goddess of the lake is Ida Batari Dewi Ulun Danu. Danu in the Balinese tongue means lake, while The Goddess Danu is Queen of water, lakes and rivers.

Ulun Danu Beratan Temple mostly called as a Ulun Danu Temple, is a place that became one of the famous tourist destinations where you can see the splendor of the temple building and enjoy the beauty of the lake. Cold atmosphere that I feel when I standing near the lake, I see some people who pray in the temple and many tourists walk around in the green park. I also saw some traditional boats on the edge of the lake, people walk by wearing Balinese traditional clothes around the temple, making the landscape look beautiful in Balinese culture.

Here one of my favorite places for the weekend, Beratan Lake in the Bedugul Highlands. Must visit 🙂
