It contains the ancient history and the recent past.
In the foreground is an ancient church – St. Petka, and on both sides, in the background, buildings built in the ’60s.
However, behind the church and to the left of it there are archaeological excavations of the ancient city of Serdika.
In Serdica (present-day Sofia), in 342 the Council of Serdica was held, in which, in practice, Christianity is divided into 2 churches – Orthodox and Catholic.
