Huia is West Auckland from the Waitakere Ranges. It’s a small town along the coast of the Manukau Harbour. We went there last Sunday and took photos of West Auckland. A road from Titirangi to Whatipu beach runs along the West Coast in the Manukau Harbour.. Huia is the last town before the drive to Whatipu. Going to Whatipu takes some more effort, as it is a gravel road which is not tar sealed and it is quite a walk from the car park to the beach.
So we did the next best thing go to Huia, and there is a great cafe in Huia.

This path from the rocky Huia beach at this point.
Behind me taking the photo is the beach and this is taken from the beach. Beyond that is a road that goes away in this direction that takes you to Whatipu beach over gravel road. It takes 20 minutes over stoney rough winding roads with sheer cliff drops that are the shape of a hair pin and quite dangerous going.
This is really nice! I love it 😀
