Paul was guiding us around the city using his phone for GPS. As we were walking down this street, I saw the City Gates. They are so pretty and yet have a very serious function, or at least once they did. We were on our way to the Royal Palace. Paul was curious about the art and the history of the palace. I had not read much about this place, but during the bus tour, Paul was fascinated about the story of the last Prince and felt the need to come visit before returning to the villa we were staying at. The modern buildings across from the ancient walls seem slightly out of place, but I am sure over time, they will appear to be the same.
