Yesterday I drove hoping to stop, but the blistering rain in droves kept us driving so after 3 and 1/2 hours of driving I stopped at Fitzgerald Glade Roadhouse Cafe & Store, not far from Tirau in Waikato.
It was a very nice cafe where the owners left an almost self sufficient lifestyle. They had chickens, pigs, goats, and a donkey.
To get there you drive through a glade with overhanging trees for quite a while and you see this cafe. Then there is a short glade then the main road.
