Monochrome Texas Windmill

While driving with some friends in the Texas hill country, I spotted this windmill seated in the back of the car. Fortunately, we had to turn around, slowed down and therefore I was able to capture it. In post-processing, I decided to give the whole picture a dark sepia tone, not only to make it seem dated but also to enhance some of the contrasts.

Windmills fascinate me, and now three years later, we live close to a Windmill park whose owner is collecting them and putting them up all over his property. There is even an inn or a bed & breakfast involved. As soon as I know more I will come up with another “Travel” post.
