Maya Bay Tour (Thailand, Phuket)

Today we had strong wind. At such a time, I want to quickly return home and dream about beautiful countries and the gentle sea. Today I recalled my trip to Thailand, to the Maya Bay. Of course, first of all, we wanted to see the famous Phi Phi island, but other islands also left a good impression.

After visiting Maya Bay, I watched the very old film “The Beach”, with still young Di Kiprio, and came to the conclusion that it was then that the Ministry of Tourism of Thailand began to “spin” the islands in the tourist sights of the south of Thailand. The beach is, of course, clean, certainly, white sand, so soft and pleasant, the water is blue, transparent – everything is as it should be on a paradise island. However, in the film, the beach looks bigger! Then the guide told us that only a few shots of this island were included in the film.

The landscape of the island is mesmerizing, it is interesting from different angles, it is very surprising. It’s a pity that there is only one hour to go on each island excursion and therefore you don’t have to enjoy the scenery, you need to see the island, take pictures and swim in clean like tear water!

The island is a nature reserve, any life activity is prohibited there, which is probably why there are such clean sand, water and the island as a whole. In general, I really liked this tour, despite the fact that we were not alone there.

Although the water is clear and beckons to swim, there is an unrealistic number of tourists. The island itself is small, but there are many tourists, everyone is crowding, boats are sailing, sailing, and due to this flea market, you really do not really enjoy the place itself. I can only say “yes, I have been there”, “yes, I saw this beauty,” but have I enjoyed it enough? Not!

Although perhaps the reason is that we spent on the island of Phi Phi only 1 hour. But still, I managed to notice only the clutter around the tourists, their appearance on the island and departure from there. After an hour we were left on our own, we were fed. Buffet, the choice of dishes pleased (but this is Thailand, here you will not surprise anyone).

The beach itself is fine white sand, clean. If you are lucky – you will see many sea urchins and small cute fishes. On the way to the island, you will see unbelievably beautiful views around, so in any case, you will remember this trip for a long time!
