Lake Hakanoa is in a small town in Huntly, in New Zealand’s Waikato region.
Huntly is a coal town with coal mines. Yes, there has been some accidents here. Not far away in a power station on Huntly’s part of the Waikato river.
Often been through Huntly and never saw the lakes. I wonder why my parents never stopped to look around Huntly? There just drove straight through and never looked.
I wanted to know what is out there and around not only Huntly but many places around within driving space of Auckland. Im constantly, driving up a road on the side to go and explore to see what is out there. It is amazing what you can find, even in your own home town.
This is a beautiful park and lake, a free and lovely place for anyone to visit.
O Pamela… What a wonderful town you show here
