I have a good friend with a cottage above Inch Beach in Kerry, and most summers I take my family there for a week. These photos were shot in summer 2015 on my Moto G phone. Most were run through the ‘Autobalance’ feature of MS Photo Editor, which optimises contrast and luminosity.

Wow, that could be Baja California in Mexico. Looks so similar except for the mountains you see. Love all the shots, the landscape frames take in so much, love those the best. The reason I started taking photos is that I paint in oils. Landscapes and animals in nature. With every second the landscapes change so much in color and shadows I had to take pictures so the colors and textures stayed the same, so I understand what you mean. Lovely tour.

I just read what you wrote to Carol, I am so sorry this holds too painful of memories to go back. I think you should go back someday.

It’s early days. Never been in anything like this situation before, so I can’t compare. It’s been 8 months and in some ways it’s like no time has passed. For now, I’m busy trying to lay down new memories in new places.

I’m really amazed because I had no idea that there was any similarity between Kerry and Baja C 🙂 And I didn’t know you used oils. Have I missed any posts of your paintings or is my memory just more shot than I thought? 😉

So enjoyed your shared visit in this post. Number 5’s expansive long shot is very appealing and inspiring, and it makes me want to go there!

Thanks very much, Carol 🙂 The place has strong associations and I’m not sure I can go back there now. But it sure was fun!
