Busy Saturday

Saturday, July 28, 2018

Yesterday, I had made an appointment for my Beetle’s annual checkup as well as fix small dents. I woke up early in the morning to get ready for the 8 am appointment. I like doing my errands in the mornings and during the weekend. I watched TV and read some magazines in the waiting room, while I waited patiently. Cars are like pets and kids because I felt I was at the doctor’s office, taking my car for its annual health checkup and vaccines. While waiting, I was thinking about my graphic novel covers, and I decided to draw the covers on Adobe Illustrator, like my first novel. But I remember that Adobe had closed down, and I am no longer able to use my Adobe Photoshop 10 and Adobe Illustrator 10, even though I have the CDS and license from buying them at the store. Last month, I had contacted Adobe, and they told me I can download Adobe Photoshop CS2 for free from their site. I forgot all about Illustrator. I need to check to see if my old version still works. My car was finished at 11:30 am, and I paid via debit card. The fee wasn’t bad because I thought it might be higher. When I drove by the Spectrum Center, I realized I haven’t gone to yoga class in a while because of errands and working on my graphic novel. I need to go to yoga class.

I decided not to go to the Woodbridge Community Center promotional event. It will probably be crowded and the parking lot might be full. Plus, it appears to be for families and kids, and I am not a family or a kid. It is too hot to just walk around and people watch. I could have just gone there to take photographs of the event, but I decided to go home and get some work done.

I went on the Internet and tried to enter Adobe Illustrator 10, but it wouldn’t open. Same thing like Photoshop 10. So, I contacted Adobe on the Internet and told them that my old Adobe programs have been blocked, even though I have the CDs and serial numbers. They eventually sent me to the same page, where I downloaded Photoshop CS2 so that I can now download Illustrator CS2. This process took a while, and it was quite taxing. I finished around 3 pm. And, I relaxed for the rest of the day.

I have meetups scheduled for the last three days of July. I want to scan the graphic novel book covers so I can draw them on Adobe Illustrator. Then, I can work on the script, which will probably take a while.
