Walt Harris continues to move up the heavyweight ladder with his 12-second knockout of veteran Aleksei Oleinik in a UFC bout in San Antonio, TX. In the first few seconds, both fighters appeared to be feeling each other out with some range-finding punches.
However, Oleinik put his head down too low after a jab, which Harris capitalized on. Harris hit Oleinik with a flying knee in the chest followed by a straight left the put Oleinik to the canvas. After the fight, Harris said that he added the flying knee after watching Jorge Masvidal knock out Ben Askren in five seconds.
Practicing that knee worked to perfection with the quick KO. Harris should move up into the Top 10 in the heavyweight division due to this career-defining moment.
I saw this fight. It looked like a lucky punch that did it.
12 seconds? Hardly worth the price of admission! Wow!
I suggested my family that enjoys it watches it!
