In new research from the University of Rochester Medical Center in New York, more benefits from sleep have been discovered.  We all know the power of REM sleep, Rapid Eye Movement, that is the sign that a person is in a dream. but now we find out that even non -REM sleep has benefits. This benefit is that cerebrospinal fluid is produced and “washes” the brain while we sleep. The CSF cleans out toxins and could explain why a full 8 hours of sleep are so important.
