River Flood in Bonsall California

#1 The trail

The dogs are checking out the trail down to the River. It was all underwater.

#2 The tree survived.

But the main part is broken.

#3 I have posted this place before.

This is the Sandia Creek part of the Santa Margarita River. The last free flowing river in this area.

#4 The dogs..

Still enjoyed the creek. The level is back to normal only weeks after the flood.

#5 Penny

Even got wet all the way up to her belly!

#6 Meika

finds the deepest pools to get in, or just lays down in the shallows.

#7 Luna

Loves the shallow water with the sandy bottom.

#8 The destruction..

See Luna? The black dog? Can you see Penny the small dog or my son?

#9 The Willow Trees

survived, they bend for the most part.

#10 All three dogs.

Are taking one last dip before we head back.

It was amazing to see how far the water reached. There is a drone video of the flood happening. It was a wall of water. Amazing.

she is so tiny compared to the other 2 …

  lol, She never goes in over her belly. She is tiny, they have to watch out for her with those big feet. 🙂
